This decision will mean the removal of the tree from the school playground.
The decision has saddened the school community as the tree is the emblem for the school uniform and the logo, "Growing and Learning together". However the removal of the tree is paramount to the safety of the children.
The school and the P and C plan to produce a booklet to keep in the school's library for future reference of the significance of the tree to the school, and are asking the community members and former students of the school to submit any recollections of the importance of the tree or what happened or went on under the tree in their time at the school so that these recollections can be added to the current students writings to form the booklet.
If you have any memories or recollections of the tree please send them to the school or contact the school on 6553 2623 or Ian Smith on 6553 2082.
